Children

Our dentists are experienced in dealing with the care of children, between them they have 10 children so are not only experienced in the needs of children in the dental chair but also understand children through their own personal experience. We are happy to see all children as NHS patients if requested.

We were one of approximately 100 practices chosen to participate in the national dental pilot scheme. This was very much focused on preventive practice.  We are always happy to provide whatever treatment children need and to talk to you about how you can help your children to keep their teeth healthy.  There are some simple things you can do now that will help your children to keep strong and healthy teeth throughout their adult life:

  • Try to minimise the amount of sugary drinks and food that your child has.  The sugar in drinks and food causes dental decay.
  • Make sure that your children brush their teeth twice a day – in the morning after breakfast and at night before going to bed.
  • Ensure that they have regular checkups to monitor the condition of their teeth.
